Protein balls…but make them halloween themed. Even if you’re not into celebrating halloween [or maybe you’re just finding this recipe in February] these little protein balls make such a delicious snack. The cashew butter can be subbed for other nut or seed butters, if you like!
Halloween protein balls
Print ThisIngredients
- 60g vanilla protein powder [plant-based if required]
- 100g desiccated coconut
- 120g smooth cashew butter
- 70g ground almonds
- 24-28 edible eyes
Instructions
[1] In a bowl, combine the protein powder, 60g of the desiccated coconut, cashew butter, and ground almonds.
[2] Add 1 tbsp of water at a time to help bind the ingredients together to enable you to form into balls. You may need up to 3 tbsp of water.
[3] Roll the mixture into 12-14 small balls and place on a plate or tray.
[4] Next, blitz the remaining 40g of desiccated coconut in a blender to make fine crumbs. This will help it stick to the balls better.
[5] Roll each ball in the coconut crumbs. If you’re having trouble making the coconut stick, use your fingers to coat the ball in water and then roll.
[6] Add edible eyes to finish by wetting the back to help stick to the coconut.
