There’s a well known chocolate shop that sells little (and large) slabs of chocolate filled and/or decorated with a myriad or flavours and toppings – some a little more “out there” than others. Do you know the one I’m talking about? The ones topped with crunchy nuts always look (and taste) the best, I think. So I thought it was about time that I created my own version! I used almonds, pistachios, and hazelnuts in this recipe but you can add use whatever are your favourites – just keep the quantities the same! The salt, too, is optional, but thoroughly recommended!
Nutty chocolate bark
Print ThisIngredients
- 400g melted dark chocolate (or chocolate of choice)
- pinch of salt (optional)
- 80g chopped almonds
- 80g chopped pistachios
- 80g chopped hazelnuts
Instructions
Line a square or rectangular baking tin with parchment paper.
Putting a handful of each chopped nut aside, add the remainder of the nuts into the melted dark chocolate.
Add a pinch of salt if using, and combine until all of nuts are coated in the chocolate.
Pour the mixture into the lined baking tin, and smooth it out evenly.
Scatter the nuts you previously put aside on top of the chocolate, and push them in gently.
Finally, place the bark in freezer to set for 30 minutes, before cutting or snapping into pieces or chunks. Store in the fridge!
