Often catch yourself dreaming of what you might make for brunch over the weekends? Well I’ve got your back, make your dreams a reality with this delicious French toast, which happens to also be vegan. You can use any bread you have in the house (white/wholegrain/sourdough/gluten free) – it’s an awesome way to make use of stale bread!
Egg-Free French ToastPrint This
- 250ml of milk
- 2 TBSP of ground almonds
- 2 TBSP of maple syrup or brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4-6 slices slice bread (stale is good!)
Whisk the milk, ground almonds, maple syrup (or brown sugar), cinnamon, and vanilla together.
Place the mixture in a shallow dish and add the sliced bread. Soak the bread for 30-60 seconds either side to absorb the mixture.
Heat some oil on a non stick pan over medium heat and cook the bread for 1-2 minutes on either side until golden brown.
Serve with berries and syrup!
