This recipe is perfect as breakfast on the go or a post-workout snack, packed full of protein, healthy fats, fibre, vitamins and minerals. The combination of autumnal ingredients make this smoothie taste just like pecan pie – perfect for the festive seasons.
I’m using Linwoods flaxseed and protein powder in this recipe.
Pecan Pie SmoothiePrint This
- 250-275ml of milk or water
- 1 heaped tablespoon of linwoods Hemp protein powder*
- 1 frozen banana
- 10g of flaxseed (I used Linwoods milled flaxseed with Bio cultures + vitamin D)
- 5 Pecans, roughly chopped
- 2 dates, roughly chopped
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Ice to serve
- *May be omitted.
Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blitz until smooth. Add ice and serve!
When freezing bananas, peel and slice them and pop them into a Tupperware box before freezing.
