The Rooted Project started with two dietitians making evidenced-based nutrition fun and accessible by linking you with the leading experts in the field of nutrition.
The aim at the Rooted Project is to make science accessible by linking the public with leading scientists and health professionals in the field of nutrition. An increasing amount of research has linked gut health to disease and wellbeing, whether it’s digestion, immunity, mood or even metabolism. Our microbiota (the trillions of bacteria in our gut) has such complex, specific functions in the body, it’s sometimes referred to as an organ in itself. Furthermore, we know we can affect our microbiota and the health of our gut via the food we eat.
So what should we be doing to keep our guts healthy? Last week I joined a panel of speakers to find out more about the fascinating relationship between diet and the wondrous world of our gut. The Rooted Project has kindly shared with me the low-down of the key points made during the talk.
